Course synopsis

This course is designed for preschool educators interested in teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) activities to preschool children aged 3-7. They will learn about different STEM activities that align to the theme ‘Discovery of the World’ and pedagogies that they can adopt to carry out the activities.

  1. To design activities suitable for teaching STEM ideas to preschool children

  2. To acquire pedagogies suitable for teaching different STEM ideas to preschool children

In the lesson, participants will go through the following content:

  1. Demonstrations of activities suitable for teaching preschool children STEM ideas

  2. Explanations on how to go about planning the STEM activities appropriately

  3. Demonstrations of pedagogies used to enact the STEM activities
