This course covers the non-cognitive aspects of educational assessment. Non-cognitive attributes such as attitudes, interests, and personality are important to education for the 21st century. The course complements those of cognitive assessments, to provide the breadth of knowledge for a MEd (Educational Assessment) graduate. |

Objective |
This course clarifies the principles of affective measurement and assessment, and introduces psychological scaling methods. It provides the knowledge and understanding to select published psychological scales, or to adapt or construct affective measures relevant to their research. In particular, it engages the students in the development of an attitude scale.
