This 10-hour block of group supervision aims to bridge the theory-practice gap through the provision of clinical group supervision of practicing counselling psychologists from different work settings with different populations. The group will be led by a practicing psychologist who is a SRP Approved Supervisor. Each participant will be required to present one case from his/her practice as part of the one-hour case discussion. Participants will also be expected to participate actively in case discussions of other participants’ presentations. By participating in this group supervision, counselling psychologists will be able to clock hours towards registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists.

Objective

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Conceptualise cases using different counselling theories

  2. Use different counselling modalities and techniques to work with clients

  3. Score and interpret the results of mental health assessment tools accurately

  1. Case conceptualization / clinical formulation

  2. Treatment plan formulation

  3. Advance counselling skills practice, reflection and feedback
