This 10-hour block of group supervision aims to bridge the theory-practice gap through the provision of clinical group supervision of practicing educational psychologists from different work settings with different populations. The group will be led by a practicing psychologist who is a SRP Approved Supervisor. Each participant will be required to present one case from his/her practice as part of the one-hour case discussion. Participants will also be expected to participate actively in case discussions of other participants’ presentations. By participating in this group supervision, educational psychologists will be able to clock hours towards registration with the Singapore Register of Psychologists.

Course synopsis

Objective

By the end of this course, participants should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate the skill of case conceptualization / clinical formulation

  2. Interpret the results of psychoeducational assessments for children and adolescents

  3. Construct and implement behavioural / literacy intervention plans for children and adolescents

The course will cover the following areas through the discussion of clinical cases presented by participants:

  1. Case conceptualization / clinical formulation

  2. Analysis of Psychoeducational Assessment results

  3. Analysis of Post-assessment intervention
