Objective |
This 6-hour workshop empowers educators to harness the power of generative AI (GAI) for transformative assessment. Learn how to (a) craft classroom assessments that seamlessly integrate AI tools, (b) leverage GAI to create precise and insightful performance descriptors in rubrics, and (c) utilize GAI's personalized feedback capabilities to maximize student learning. You will get to see examples from other educators and get the opportunity to obtain feedback on your own GAI-assisted assessments. Lastly, the course will discuss the opportunities and limitations of GAI.

a) What is assessment? b) What is core to assessment design? c) What are performance standards? d) What is optimal assessment feedback practice?
COURSE SCHEDULE & MODE OF DELIVERY 3h in-person (28 June 2024) - The 3-hour in-person session will be held from 2 pm to 5 pm at NIE. 1.5h asynchronous (1 July - 25 July) - The 1.5-hour asynchronous component allows participants to access course materials on NTULearn Blackboard at any time during this period. 1.5h synchronous online via Zoom (26 July) - The 1.5-hour synchronous online session via Zoom (3pm to 4.30pm) will have login details provided at a later date.
